Synopsis

Gokhan Bey is an old fisherman at the age of 70. The place where he used to fish is also where he was born. That's in between Asia and Europe, on the Bosporus, where Istanbul is located. While time is changing most of the people from older generations have adaptation problems. Now at the age of 70 he is ready to move out of the city he was born in. Even for him alienation is unstoppable in the city he grew up in. He is used to go fishing with his little boat and catch 5 to 10 kilo's of fish a day. Nowadays younger generation of fishermen replace the older generation with their bigger boats, who are able to catch up to thousands of fishes a day. This huge change in the system of fishing also shows the difference between mentalities. While he was able to live in a social community 50 years ago, now people are running more and more after money and everything is changing because of these facts.
